The First Visit

Now we are expecting and it is time to visit the doctor.   We decide on a place to have the baby and decide on going with a midwife.  So off to the first visit.  We go in, fill out gobs of paperwork, answer questions about family medical history.  I didn't realize there could be so much family medical history.   Krisdeena and I go through that and get to the "credit advisor" and discuss... Dun dun dun... The bill <gulp>.  We both sort of figured that having a baby would be expensive.  However, when you see it laid out like a menu at an expensive restaurant, it seems even more overwhelming.  Thankfully, we don't have to leave a tip.  After what was largely an administrative visit we schedule the next visit where the poking and prodding began.

Our Little Monkey: The Beginning

On Valentine's Day Krisdeena and I exchanged gifts.  When I opened my gift I found baby clothes with a positive pregnancy test.  So now we are starting our family with the addition of our little monkey.

We are both very happy to be starting our family.  We've been to our initial doctor's visit and our little monkey is due in October.  Stop back often to catch up on us and our journey as we get ready for our little monkey to arrive.
